Last night UK Model Folios attended the first evening of the Miss England 2011 finals at the Birmingham NEC and were in awe of the 61 eco-friendly creations created and warn by the stunning finalists. The pieces were undoubtedly amazing and presented the judges, which included celebrity photographer Alan Strutt, Dragon’s Den entrepreneur Richard Farley and Miss World with an exceptionally hard decision of selecting a final five, and then a winner. The winner received £500 and a fast-track through the competition in to the final 15 contestants, one of whom tonight will be crowned Miss England 2011.
After the outfits paraded the catwalk, including floor length gowns created solely from magazines and newspapers, a skirt and boob tube with matching cape soldered with record vinyls, a dress and hat of playing cards, and a prom-style tutu dress created from an umbrella, the judges decision was so hard that they had to choose a final twelve as oppose to a final five.
After the top eco-finalists, including Miss London Rissikat Bade strutted their stuff on the catwalk one more time, the decision was made and Miss Liverpool Sarah Farley was chosen as a deserved winner. Patriotic Sarah’s outfit, constructed from Liverpool newspaper Echo, was designed with her city in mind and whom she represents in the Miss England contest. Sarah thanked Liverpool for Its support and said her outfit represents her love and respect for her hometown. For us, the audience, we watched in awe at her amazing creation and effort that went in to producing this incredible ensemble of a Hawaiian-hula style outfit, and notably her enviable figure that found her in the top ten of the Miss England Best Beach Body competition.

Today has been a very hectic day filled with hair, make-up, bikinis, lots of press and ten very hot Miss England beachwear finalists.
Out of 61 of the pageants finalists, ten ladies were selected by three sets of judges- Miss England, Sandstorm Boutique and Alan Strutt with UK Model Folios. It was a very tough decision to make because all of the finalists are absolutely drop dead amazing, but when the elated final ten turned up in our London studio today to shot by Alan they certainly proved they deserved to be picked.
The final ten ladies consisted of:
Miss Every Model
Miss Flyde Coast
Whilst the ten ladies had their make-up done by top promotions agency, Front UK and hair styled by Art Directors from Toni & Guy Mayfair, Fay L. Bacon worked with Sandstorm boutique in selecting individual looks for each finalist, ‘I wanted to create something fresh and colourful to represent summer in England but also show off all of the finalists amazing curves and toned physiques. Sandstorm provided us with the most fabulous pieces to choose from including one pieces, bikinis and cutout swimsuits. However, I decided to put each of the girls in a bikini which best suited their shape and skin tone, and the pictures speak volumes for how amazing each of them looked. Getting in to a bikini is daunting for any woman, regardless of how confident body-wise you are, but these ladies shone and strutted their stuff like pros for the camera despite for some of them it being their first time.’
At 2pm after each finalist had been photographed, fifteen different press photographers arrived from national tabloids such as The Daily Star, The Sun and The Evening Standard. As the girls posed alongside eachother for the group shots, Miss London 2011 Rissikat Bade was asked for additional interviews and pictures to feature in the London Metro and others alike. Less than a few hours later and the stories have already been published, check out this feature in The Sun…
All of the girls left the London studio by 4pm after doing an interview for a selection of online lads mags that will feature today’s images very soon and give each finalist their own individual profile.
The Beach Body Award winner will be announced on the evening of the Miss England final on July 19th at the Birmingham NEC.
